Paulo Dybala is willing to represent Argentina in International Football rather than Italy.

The forward is eligible to play for both the countries. Although he is an Argentinean by origin, he’s had the passport of Italy as well and the Italian management has even expressed the desire of picking him for the games in future.

But, Dybala is not looking forward to that. He is not interested in putting on an Italy jersey.

The reason why Dybala is keen for an Argentina call up rather than the Italy one is Lionel Messi who is his role model.

The young man wants to pair with Lionel Messi upfront.
Speaking recently to an Argentinean newspaper, Dybala said, “It has always been a dream for me to feature in Argentina outfit one day. I desperately want to have that opportunity.”

“Recently, I got to know that Italy wanted me, but, they never got in touch with me to talk about that. I did not get any official call.”

“Playing alongside Leo would be a great thrill. I can play with him in the attacking line and I can play other roles too for the team.”

Dybala is, however, in Italy at the moment playing for the first division club Palermo, but, he is open to making a move to La Liga if he gets an offer from Barcelona.
When asked about that, the 21-year old said, “I would absolutely love that. To sign for Barcelona is a great honour for any young player and I am no different.

Although, I am alright here in Italy right now, but, I would not mind getting to the other end of the Mediterranean to play with some of the greats of the game.”
Dybala has scored 20 goals in 78 games for Palermo.
