Following the signing of Argentina’s international defender Cristian Romero by English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur from Italian Serie A side Atalanta this summer, a lot of people have been asking questions about the possibility of the central defender being a success in English football. The defender was handed his Premier League debut by manager Nuno Espirito Santos on Sunday against Manchester City and although it’s hard to assess him yet because it was a cameo appearance, there is a huge belief that he will prove to be a good signing for the London club as the season goes ahead.

Former Argentina international player Gabriel Heinze has hailed his fellow countryman, insisting that the player has everything it takes to become a success in England. According to Heinze, the dynamics of English football are not so far from how football is being played in Italy, citing that both the English Premier League and the Italian Serie A believe in physical football. Heinze said that since Romero has already proven himself in the Serie A, it will not be much of a big deal for him to do so in England
However, he urged the former Atalanta star to be wary of pacy attackers who could expose him if he fails to get as conscious as he should when on duty. Romero is a great addition to the Tottenham squad and he is truly expected to be a great signing.
