Gabriel Heinze is guiding Argentinos Juniors to the top of the Primera B Nacional which is the 2nd tier Argentine football League and are on course of earning a promotion spot to the Primera Division.


Argentinos Juniors snatched their 4th successive league victory on April 23 after defeating Atletico Parana with a final scoreboard of 1-0. Gabriel Heinze has a squad that is mostly filled with younger players that range from the age of 18- 26.

There are older performers in the team of Heinze but the vast majority are youth players who have their entire career lying ahead and the 39 year old manager Gabriel Heinze has recently talked about the current situation of his club as the former Manchester United player said:

‘’I knew that I was going to find myself with a lot of youngsters when I arrived. I had to work with Borrelli, Sanzotti and Marra and I asked for 8 of the best from the 6th division onwards.

We decided to work hard in order to promote youngsters and this is what is happening but this cannot be entirely credited to myself as I have staff members who helped in this process. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors should be proud of what these youngsters have been accomplishing’’
